HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS
SHIRT
1. Neck Measurement:
Place the tape measure around the bare neck,, just below the Adams's apple, where the collar would typically button
Measure loosely enough for comfort. Or just check the size of your dress shirt
2. Sleeve Length Measurement:
Place the tape measure at the base of the neck in back. Extend the tape over the broadest part of the shoulder and down the length of the arm
to approximately 1" - 1 1/2" below the wrist bone. The sleeve measurement is taken to the inch only. If necessary, round up to the nearest inch.
TROUSERS
1. Waist Measurements
Make sure bulky materials such as sweaters or coats will not interfere with the measurement. Place the measuring tape around
your natural waist just below the navel.
Rental formal trousers adjust to three waist sized (ex: 33-34-35). If your waist measurement is at the high end of the size range you may be
more comfortable in your next larger waist size.
Outseam Pic coming
1. Outseam Measurement To take this measurment you may need someone's help. Have the end of the measuring tape placed at the top
of your waistband, above the outer side seam. Extend the tape to a point 1" above the top of the heel of your shoe.
COAT
1. Chest Measurements
Make sure you are not wearing a coat or bulky sweater when taking your chest measurement. Place the measuring tape around the back
and across the fullest part of the chest.
2. Overarm Measurements
Place the tape around the back (on top of the shoulder blades) and across the fullest
part of the chest, over the arms. The overarm measurement is particularly important
for those gentlemen with and athletic build, whose shoulders are very broad in
proportion to their waists.
